 TRAVEL TEAM 2016 RECAP 6 youth with Pastor Tassey and his wife Veronica went down to New Orleans July 17-19 to the National Youth Gathering to co-lead 3 sessions of the Witness Academy with the Synod's Witness, Outreach, and Revitalization ministry, and at the same time to run the OAFC exhibit booth at the Gathering. Day 2 we actually took the participants out for the hour and shared the Gospel using the OAFC Good News cards on the streets of the French Quarter. Over the 4 days of the Gathering, we — let’s give all the credit to 6 youth — handed out 10,000 Good News/OAFC postcards. We collected contact information from 33 churches that were interested in more information about OAFC. And we got to connect with many alumni who stopped by and were glad to see OAFC still active and sharing the Gospel.  | SUMMER TRAINING 2016 RECAP  THE NUMBERS: 46 participants 14 new to OAFC 825 homes visited 345 people talked to us 56% (190) didn't confess JESUS 24 Prospects for 3 churches  KEYNOTE: Jennifer Krupp shared the impact of the witness of mercy in her home town of Ferguson.  WORKSHOPS: We offered sessions on Apologetics, Prayer, Applying OAFC, Prison Ministry, Money, and Temptations.  FUN and FELLOWSHIP: From ultimate Frisbee, to puppet shows with the kids, to making new friends, it was a fun time.  |
