March OAFC Crier 2019
Stories From The Heart
by Fred C. Darkow, Founder of OAFC
In early OAFC, youth were on fire and wanted to train others to witness for Jesus but needed a van. We looked for a 15 passenger van owned by a Jewish car dealer. We had found out that Betty Crocker would let us use their coupons to purchase needed equipment. We told the Jewish man we were going to buy the van with Betty Crocker coupons, and he laughed in doubt. Later, a letter was sent to all Women's Missionary League Groups in the church, with a picture of the youth saying, "Have Gospel, Want to share it, No wheels!" The response was overwhelming and flooded our little town's post office. So many coupons came in we had to send out another letter that we didn't need anymore coupons. We not only bought a new 15 passenger van from an amazed Jewish dealer, but also bought other needed equipment with the surplus. Thank God for LWMLers.

Happenings
Oklahoma
The weekend of February 17th Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma, Oklahoma hosted an OAFC representative for workshops in Evangelism and learned dhow to start a group in their area. Church members of all ages were encouraged in their witness, and had opportunities to ask questions about continuing to share the good news with family and friends that they'd already invited to church. Even though the weather forbid canvassing that didn't stop our youngest participant, a ten-year-old from Zion, from inviting and bringing a friend to church Sunday morning! Praise God for a wonderful time together, and please continue to support and pray for the Oklahoma group as they continue to grow.
Chicago Visitations
Ambassadors gathered together at Jehovah El-Buen Pastor Lutheran Church today and spent time singing, doing dramas and a puppet show, and studying God’s gift of baptism and how we can daily remember that gift. They then visited a member of a sister church who has been home-bound after surgery.
They look forward to seeing each other again on March 22nd-24th and invite you to join them! The event will be hosted at Jehovah El Buen Pastor Lutheran Church (3740 W Belsen Ave). Young and old and everyone in between are welcome.
