Ongoing Involvement – Establishing an OAFC Group
Rather than being served just once, a congregation benefits most when other nearby congregations also host Outreach Weekends. Several congregations can develop an "ongoing" schedule - one hosting this month, another the next month, etc. Everything becomes "ONGOING." This forms on ongoing “Group”. Three blessings result:
1) churches are served in outreach,
2) an ever increasing number of people grow in sharing their faith more confidently, and
3) Christ-centered friendships blossom.

So we encourage congregations to ask, not simply: "How can OAFC come and serve our congregation?" but, to ask: "How can we establish an ongoing OAFC Group in our area?"  Contact us; we are eager to help and serve you.

Ways OAFC can come to train you:
1. Your church can host an OAFC travel team for a weekend or an evening stop.
2. An established OAFC group can come to your church for an outreach weekend
Ways You can go to receive training:
1. An outreach weekend near you
2. A OAFC New Year’s event
3. National Summer Training

Get Involved
Ongoing Ambassadors for Christ is a nation-wide ministry within the LCMS that helps equip youth and adults to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and what He has done to save everyone.
Individual Involvement
OAFC uses peer ministry: new people observe and learn from those already trained, and eventually they are able to train someone new.
To receive training, a person simply has to attend a training event.
Participants are normally age 12 and older, and no one is too old.
Training events include:
1) Outreach weekends held at local LCMS congregations,
2) Regional outreach events such as a New Year's training/celebration, and
3) National Summer Training, held annually.
All OAFC activities center around proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Six methods are used:
singing, dramas, puppet plays, Bible studies, personal witness, and neighborhood surveying.
We also share our faith with each other, building one another up in Christ and creating strong friendships.
Through OAFC, many individuals have found lifelong friends, and many have gone into full-time church work. Interested?..Contact us; we'll do all we can to help connect you to this wonderful ministry!

Congregational Involvement
LCMS Congregations are a vital part of OAFC. They host the Outreach Weekends. Neighborhood surveying is done in behalf of the congregation, and they are given survey information for follow-up. If you desire OAFC to serve you, please contact the OAFC national office, or go to our regional directory to find the OAFC Leader nearest you.
