Martin: Hi Ann. I can't wait to build a sandcastle today. It's gonna be HUGE! Ann: Yeah, it's sooo nice today. The sun is really bright . Martin: It's a good thing we are puppets so we can't get sunburned. Ann: True that Martin. Hey, go get your shovel so we can get started. Martin: 0ooo I can't wait. This castle is going to be 15 feet high with a moat and a Jacuzzi. {Sound of thunder) Aw man, it's raining. Ann: Yeah, the sun was blazing just two seconds ago and look at it now - pouring down rain! Martin: I didn't want to build an ark today. I wanted to build a sandcastle! Why did the weather have to change so fast? Now we can't have any fun. Ann: Well, things change all the time. Like when your cat had kittens and when your friend moved away. Martin: I don't understand why things change all the time. Why can't they just stay the same? Ann: Lots of things change in life, but even though things are always changing around us, I know someone who never ever changes. Martin: Really? Who's that? Ann: Well, the Bible says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" [Hebrews 13:8] Martin: Oh, I remember hearing about Jesus in Sunday School. He died on the cross to take away our sins, right? Ann: Yup, Jesus died for us and rose again because He loved us. He will always love us. Martin: Even after He had to suffer and die for us? He must love us a whole lot. Ann: He sure does. He can't love us any more and He won't love us any less. Martin: I'm glad that God's love doesn't change like the weather. Ann: You've got it Martin. Hey, while it's raining why don't we go play with the waffle blocks inside? Martin: Alright. Let's go!
