Beautiful Feet

R:   G’ morning Paul.

P:   Hey Ralph.

R:   Ya know Paul, I’ve been doing some serious thinking- why in the world don’t I have any feet?

P:   Boy Ralph, I have no clue.  Come to think of it…(Looking down) I don’t have any feet either!

R:   I was looking at this Bible verse, Romans 10:15, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the Good News.”

P:   You mean good news as in the Good News that Jesus died for all of our sins?

R:   Yeah, but we don’t have any feet so we can’t share the Good News.  No feet, no Good News, that’s it, we’re finished!

P:   Well, I don’t know if….

R:  (Interrupting)  Why do they even keep us around anymore?  All we do is sit around in our box all day while they get to have fun and share Jesus’ love.  And we can’t go out door-to-door witnessing without feet!  Maybe we should just go live in a gutter and eat worms.

P:  Now don’t get all worked up Ralph.  It may not seem like it to you but we are useful around here.

R:  Oh, yeah?  How’s that?

P:   Well, puppets are great for telling stories about God’s love to children.

R:  Well, the little tykes do seem to enjoy us…

P:   Yeah, and sometimes the adults get more out of our shows than the kids.   Y’ know the morals we show teach some important lessons.

R:   Yes, but….

P:   Even though you may not have something someone else does like beautiful feet, God can still use you.  In 1 Peter 4:10 it says “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in various forms.”

R:  So, you’re saying that God still uses me even though I don’t have feet and that Jesus gives all kinds of gifts?  Gifts like being good at sports and music and speaking in front of people?  Things even, like having a good smile?

P:  Right-O Ralph!  And also remember the best gift given to us by God…

R:  Wait!  I know this one.  Jesus died on the cross and rose again to save me and everyone from their sins!

P:   Way to go!  Now are you ready to go spread the Good News about what God did for all His children?
