Chicago Caroling
Early in December members of the Northern Illinois group visited a staff member of Grace Lutheran school in the hospital and spent time caroling with her and visiting her neighbors. What a joy it was to share the gift of music and the message of Christ come to our fallen world with those who listened. New Years 2019
The 2018-19 New Years convened in Hiawatha, IA. We were graciously hosted by Zion Lutheran Church. Ambassadors had an opportunity to practice Singing, guitar skills, and Bible study techniques. Adults learned how OAFC methods can be used to encourage members in their home congregations. Members of the circuit were invited to hear about our ministry, and our travel team to the country of Mongolia. OAFC leadership met together for the board meeting. Please pray for our board as they consider new directions for OAFC in 2019!

Personal Witness

We all know that you can't live without water. Yet somehow I always forget to stay hydrated! The only reminder I have is whenever I get a headache. I don't get many headaches but, as soon as I do the first thing I do is drink water. Usually the headache will go away within a few minutes. In this way, Jesus is similar to water. We can't live without Jesus, yet we usually forget to include Him in our daily routines. Whenever we forget Jesus we can sometimes feel ourselves slip into temptation. and our only salvation is Jesus. As soon as we return to Him we feel 100% better! Jesus said to a samaritan woman in John 4:14, "but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will be come a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
