Board of Directors Meeting

Members present: Ed Allen - Chairman, Rev. Tom Moyer - Executive
Director, Dan Barz - Assistant to the Executive Director, Pam Rudick -
Secretary, Trey Fisk, Bill Witcher, Ellen Griffin, David Kamin, Mark
Triplett, Donine Fink, Rachel Barz
Members absent: Rev. David Baumgarn, Rev. Dan Smith, Adam Gless, Lisa
Holmes.
Meeting was called to order by Chairman, Ed Allen on Wednesday, July 11
at 9:15am. David opened the meeting with prayer
The Board discussed the date of Summer Training always starting on the
2nd Tuesday in July. Since the next 3 training dates are already set with
the congregations hosting, it was decided to table this discussion until
the January Meeting.
The Annual Meeting agenda was reviewed and approved.

Meeting recessed on July 11 until after the Annual Meeting.
Meeting reconvened on Friday, July 13 with newly elected Board Members
present.
Nominations were opened for Chairman of the Board. Rev. Dan Smith and
Rev. David Baumgarn were nominated. Pam made the motion to close
nominations. Rachel Seconded. Motion Carried. Rev. David Baumgarn was
voted in as Chairman.
Nominations were opened for Secretary of the Board. Pam Rudick, Rachel
Barz and Lisa Holmes. Pam made the motion to close nominations. David
seconded. Motion carried. Pam Rudick was voted in as Secretary.
The Board addressed the issue of discipline action taken at Summer
Training. 2 youth were found smoking in the host home. The following
individuals were involved in the decision that was made: Ed Allen -
Chairman of the Board, Ed Steele - Disciplinarian, Rev. Tom Moyer - Ex.
Dir, Rev. David McIntyre - Lead Director for one youth, Matt Kindred -
Lead Director for one youth. The decision was made to allow the 2 youth to
remain at Summer Training with the stipulation of making a public apology
and their Lead Directors would call their parents. The Board will support
the decision made by those dealing with the situation. Ellen made the
motion that we address the issue of the disciplinary action policy at the
January meeting. Bill seconded. Motion was carried.
Pam made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Rachel seconded. Motion
carried.
Meeting closed in prayer on Friday July 13.
Next Board Meeting will be held via teleconference on Sunday, October
21 at 8pm Central Time.

ANNUAL MEETING
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK
FRIDAY, JULY 13
The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Ed Allen at 4:30pm. Pastor
Tom Moyer led the group in an opening devotion.
Election results were announced. Adult Male - Bill Witcher, Adult
Female - Pam Rudick, Boy Ambassador - Mark Triplett, Girl Ambassador -
Rachel Barz. The following outgoing Board Members were recognized at this
time: Ed Allen, Adam Gless and Donine Fink. We thank them for the years of
service they have volunteered for OAFC.
OAFC has decided to send and International Team to Germany next summer.
It was announced that application forms are not available and should be
submitted by the end of August. Additional funding of $10,000 has been
received from the Central Illinois LWML.
Summer Training Host Congregations are set for the next few years.
July 16-22, 2002 - St. Francis, Minnesota
2003 - St. Joseph, Michigan
2004 - Denver, Colorado
2005 - Stevens Point, Wisconsin ???
2006 - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma ????
The financial report was reviewed and approved by the assembly
The 3, 10 day Travel teams were introduced as well as the 40 day team.
