Chairman, Pastor Daniel Smith, called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. CDT Rev. Daniel Smith read Philippians 2:5-11, the epistle lesson for today at many churches. Pastor Dan Smith prayed for OAFC and the Board of Director’s meeting. He spoke of Christ’s humility in relationship to the text previously read. Christ did not come in the majesty of Air Force One, but on a donkey. He went on to die for us, giving up His every life.
REPORTS
The Board reviewed the Minutes from the January meeting. Dan Barz pointed out that Caitlin Worden’s name was spelled incorrectly on the list of board nominations. Nathan Ruppert located a misspelling of Herbert Grieve’s name. Nathan moved to accept the secretary report with the before stated correction. Ben seconded the motion and the motion carried.
Pastor Erwin Ruhlig shared the Treasurer’s report with the Board.

Debbie McBee made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report. Noah Elmshauser seconded the motion and the motion carried (Treasurer’s report is attached on page 3).
Dan Barz sent an email containing his report to the Board members. He shared about the work two spring break travel teams did in Florida and Illinois. Dan Barz has been busy putting together workshops for Summer Training.
OLD BUSINESS
Crier
The next issue of the Crier will be ready this week. Pastor Erwin Ruhlig has submitted an article to the Crier in place of the Executive Director’s article. The Crier will be available shortly after Easter.

No further nominations were made. Pastor David Loeschen moved that nominations be closed. Ben Venteicher seconded the motion and the motion carried.
Summer Training Speakers
Dale Meyers will be our keynote speaker for Summer Training. Pastor Lucido, a military chaplain from located presently in western Nebraska, would like to speak but is having difficulty finding a parish to serve at. Debbie McBee suggested another speaker, a pastor from Oklahoma who is a former Muslim.
Summer Training 2007
Ben Ventiecher reported that Lincoln, Nebraska is not a possible location for Summer Training 2007 due to the lack of connections and amount of time. Summer Training 2007 will be at Zion Lutheran, Pasadena, TX. Champaign, IL is a possible host sight for Summer Training 2008.
July TT report
Tim Onnen declined to serve again as a travel team director. Micah will not decide until he hears his placement from the seminary. Dan Smith is planning on leading a team this year and
Kyle McBee is interested in serving as an assistant. Things are coming together for a slightly extended team that will help in the Louisiana. The team will serve with a church in Baton Rouge. Travel teams will be serving churches in northeast Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas, and Colorado.
Part-time Executive Director
Both Pastor Herbert Grieves and Pastor Scott Sunbye have declined the extended contracts to serve as the executive director. A contract has been extended to Pastor David Loeschen and he and his family are currently considering the contract.
Youth Manuel
Pastor David Loeschen has already started working on the Youth Manual. He has been going through each page of the book and writing down comments. Pastor Erwin Ruhlig sent members of the committee CDs with the Youth Manuel on them.
Medical Forms
Debbie McBee was working with Selena Peters to create a medical release form, but nothing has been accomplished. It was suggested by Dan Barz that the National Youth Gathering medical release form could be adapted.
NEW BUSINESS
Summer Training T-Shirts
Debbie McBee sent the members of the Board a T-Shirt design for Summer Training that had people with parachutes. The board members were not sure that this conveyed the idea of being equipped as effectively as we would like. It was decided that Dan Barz and Debbie McBee would work together to develop the T-Shirt.
The next meeting is scheduled for July 12-14, 2006 during Summer Training.
Ben made the motion to adjourn. Katie seconded the motion. Motion carried. Meeting concluded at 8:58 CST. Pastor David Loeschen closed the meeting in prayer.
