this point.

proposed amendment to the constitution was made, whereas questions arose as to

speaker. Others are also secured.

Assurance to Heaven – There is not as much funding as expected for a mass

Thrivent Giving – Pastor Moyer reported. “Simply Giving” is a way that a
donor could give on an ongoing basis through Thrivent. The “Giving Plus”
program would be a bonus program that would match up to 50% of a gift to the
organization. Both are currently set up for OAFC. Any potential donors must
send these forms to OAFC. Irene made the motion to allow Pastor Moyer to get
the information out to our potential donors on the Simply Giving and Giving
Plus programs that are available through Thrivent. Rachel Seconded. Motion was
carried.
New Business
Crier Changes – Dan Barz reported. We are saving 4.7 cents a crier through
production. A folding machine for the organization would make this process
completely in- house. The Crier on the Web is constantly updated, as actual
mailings have slowed down
Travel Teams – Pastor Moyer reported. Destinations are as follows.
Massachusetts, Maryland, Tennessee, and hopefully Michigan. Leaders are:
Pastor Moyer, Kevin Wudtke, and Micah Wildauer. We are praying for a fourth
leader to come forward.
International Guests – Pastor Moyer reported. Pastor Baumann’s plans
changed. Two girls are still eager to attend and continue on a travel team.
The girls are Anne-Marie and Karoline Mueller.
Thrivent Giving plus program has been covered in previous discussion
Insurance on vehicles – Our current insurance is no longer going to cover
us. We are in search for a new company that will insure 15 passenger vans.
Pastor Moyer and Pastor Ruhlig are working jointly on the issue to resolve it
as soon as possible. Will report at a later time as needed
Pastor McIntyre’s Resignation – Pastor Lehenbauer, Loppnow, and Tannahill
will be meeting to decide the continuation of the Kentucky circuit. Letter of
Resignation was reviewed.
Concerns were discussed in regards to the Kentuckiana van.
ADDITIONAL CONCERNS: The follow-up letter to a former leader was discussed.
ADDITIONAL CONVERSATION: Board of Directors list will be updated and tested
with an e-mail soon.
Pam made the motion to adjourn. Katie seconded. Motion was carried. Pastor
Baumgarn closed us in prayer. 9:29 CST

Board of Directors Report
By Daniel Barz, Assistant to the Executive Director
March 2003
Spring Break Travel Teams – This year we were able to send teams from
both Seward and Mequon. Because Concordia Spring Break times continue to be
during different weeks we are not able to send groups together. They did have
the advantage of being able to visit schools. This year presentations or chapels
were done at 8 schools before an estimate of over 1500 students. I would hope
that we can continue these teams on a regular basis. Taking a team out again was
enjoyable for me.
Summer Training – Progress continues as we finalize coordinators and
hosting congregations. Workshops are also largely set. We are trying to get as
much information as possible posted on the web site. Pastor Moyer and I have
worked on the schedule to allow for added time for extra speakers.
Travel Teams – Pastor Moyer is making good progress. I will be getting
the Michigan stops together after Easter.
Crier – The first issue in the 11 X 17 format has been completed.
Combined with much more information on the web site, this seems very workable at
a great savings in mailing cost.
AH Tracts – We have gotten pricing on the one we discussed, but it
still needs some work to get the final copy we would like.
God has blessed me with a busy spring. Now I am looking forward to a warm
week with my family in Florida. We look forward to returning in time for our
meeting on April 6.
