ONGOING AMBASSADORS
FOR CHRIST
ANNUAL MEETING
ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA
Friday July 21, 2000
Chairman, Ed Allen, called the meeting to order at 4:30pm central
time.
Pastor Moyer led the assembly in a devotion
Election results were announced.
Pastor: Dan Smith
Adult Male: Trey Fisk
Male Youth: David Kamin
Female Youth: Lisa Holmes
We thank Rev. McIntyre, Ed Steele, Nick Hopper and Anna Herbst for
their years of serving on the Board.
Pastor Moyer shared "Thirty years of telling His Story"
We are all to tell others about Jesus and planting the seed of eternal
life. We shouldn't only look backwards to what has happened, but
we should also look forward to what is to come.
BY - LAW CHANGE
Constitution Article IV section 4......A motion was made at the April
2, 2000 Board of Directors meeting to change the maximum age of the
Boy and Girl Ambassador from 18 to 17 at the time of election to the
Board. The was done to ensure representation by High School age
Ambassadors. The proposed change would read: "Boy and Girl
Ambassadors must not be older than age 17 on the day of the
election". The proposed change would be adopted at the
Annual Meeting of Summer Training in July if approved. Adam Gless made
the motion to amend the Constitution Article IV section 4 to read
"BOY AND GIRL AMBASSADORS MUST NOT BE OLDER THAN AGE 17 ON THE
DAY OF ELECTION". Peter Elliott seconded. There was
discussion in regards to college age representation. It was
discussed that currently, all youth are college age with no High
School age representation on the Board. This would ensure at
least 1 year in High school and possibly 1 year in college. MOTION
CARRIED.
Tim Onnen was honored for 18 years with OAFC which includes 15 years
as
Assistant to the Executive Director. Tim has accepted a call to
serve Faith Lutheran in Branson, MO and is resigning his position as
of August 2000. He will finish the work on the CD. We
thank Tim for the years of service and dedication.
The Financial Report was given by Ed Allen. A copy was available
for all to view on Page 19b in the Summer Training Manual
Summer Travel Teams were introduced by Brian Krohe, Pastor Moyer
and
Pastor McIntyre
The Mass canvass results were announced to the assembly. On
Thursday we
knocked on 3082 doors, talked with 1376 individuals, let Gospel
literature at 1706 homes where no one was home and discovered 53
prospects for Trinity Lutheran to follow-up on.
Pam Rudick made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Marc Troxel
seconded. Motion carried. Pastor Moyer closed the meeting in
prayer. Meeting adjourned at 5:15pm
