Lori (Elmer) Hall and Family, Rick, Chris, Jessica, and
Samantha
I
was commissioned as an OAFC’er way back in 1976, in a small town in
Indiana, Brownstown. Our OAFC circuit was blessed because it was led by Pastor
John Moyer. I was fortunate enough to have attended High School and served
on a Summer Traveling Team With Pastor Tom Moyer.
When I remember High School, I remember OAFC because
that was my main involvement, my main set of friends who even got together
between weekends for Bible Studies, and Picnics. I was fortunate enough to
serve on 3 Traveling Teams, One with Pastor Darko to Montana, one with Dan
and Ann Barz to Pennsylvania, and One with Dean and Carol Blackwell to Tennessee.
With OAFC I was able to witness to people in many
places, Prison Ministry, Nursing Home visits, Door to Door, and even
within the congregations we visited. OAFC was a big influence on my life
and guided me to Concordia College (Now University), in River Forest,
Illinois. I stayed on in the Chicago area for many years working in
Accounting, where I met my husband Rick Hall. We have been married 9
years, and are blessed with 3 children Chris who is 17 (from Rick’s
former Marriage), Jessica who is 7 and Samantha who is 4. We currently
Live in Lansing, Kansas. I saw Pastor Tom last summer when his traveling
team came thru here. This year when the 40 Day team came thru, we were on
vacation. Vicar Joseph and Cissy Stiles have been working on getting a
circuit up and running in the Kansas City area. It has been loads of fun
to see how much of the witnessing method I can remember after all these
years.
It is wonderful to see how far and wide OAFC is now
reaching, and wonderful that we have the internet, which makes it possible
to stay in touch with friends you make who live far away, or for me to
stay in touch with the OAFC organization. I hope that some day my two
young girls will get the enthusiasm and love for our Lord that OAFC
inspires. I know that because of OAFC I am a stronger Christian today, one
who KNOWS what I believe, and is willing to share it.
Gods Blessing to all OAFC’er and I’d love to hear from anyone who
may remember me, or was in the Brownstown Indiana Circuit way back then. Lorihall62@hotmail.com.
