March 20, 2008
Dear Ambassadors, Both our January & February weekends were postponed. We continue in prayer that God will bless the plans for future weekends scheduled for this year. We had 2 consecutive weekends planned for the first of March. The Spring Break Travel Team was joined by several from SW Michigan in Buchanan, MI. Due to the major snow storm, the weekend in Indianapolis was also postponed. While we are waiting final confirmation, plans are now being made to have this weekend April 25-27 at Our Shepherd, Indianapolis. Michigan Ambassadors will be planning for the April 18-20 weekend. SCHEDULED WEEKENDS FOR 2008 We have been blessed with interest and requests for future weekends and do have weekends scheduled through 2008. They are:
Facebook
Many of you
Ambassadors have been getting together through this
electronic meeting place which seems much safer than My
Space. Recently I have joined and hope that it might help
with communication. I am not encouraging you to join, but if
you are there, you might add me as your "friend".
We are "Agents of Christ", Mr. Barz COMMISSIONINGCommissioning is the formal commitment to participate in OAFC over the coming year. When you have been to 2 weekends (you can do so at the end of your second weekend), know the 2 basic witnessing methods, have led a call, and are confirmed you can be commissioned. Commissioning is also necessary for you to go to Summer Training in July. Interesting Math – How would you like to give $40 to OAFC for just $10? You might think, “No way!” But this is how it works. Any Ambassador who has attended a couple weekends this year has 25 or more hours volunteered (and you might have reached it in one weekend). Thrivent Financial for Lutheran will match any gift its 16 year old or older members make to OAFC with $1 for every $2 given = $5. And they will give $25 bonus for anyone who has volunteered 25 or more hours = $25. $10 + $5 + $25 = $40. Contact me if you have questions. Yes, if you are not 16 or not a Thrivent member, you may still give OAFC your financial support. But, you are not eligible for the "Thrivent Math". A thought from the August 2005 weekend about the future of OAFC:OAFC is 2 month from doubling
(if every Ambassador
brings another person to a weekend in the next two months)
BUT we are Only 2 years from dying.
(The normal length of
participation for many Ambassadors - if we do not bring
others) | ||||||
